Quinte Broadcasting General Contest Rules
Contests are open to Canadian citizens of 18 years or older unless otherwise expressed by Quinte Broadcasting or its promotional partner. Identification must be produced on request. Employees of Quinte Broadcasting, its contest sponsor, advertising and promotional agencies and their respective affiliates and associates and such employees’ immediate family members (including parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, children & grandchildren) and persons with whom such employees are domiciled are excluded from contests.
No one person or member of their immediate family or household may win more than one prize in any 30 day period. Individuals are only eligible to win major contests (prizes with value over $500) on Quinte Broadcasting Inc. radio stations once every 365 days. However, if an individual wins a daily prize (value of $100 or less) within a 30 day period, he or she is still eligible to win a major contest in that same 30 day period.
All prizes are non transferable unless approved by Quinte Broadcasting or its promotional partners. All prizes must be accepted as awarded and have no cash value. Winners may not request substitutions of prize winnings.
All prizes that are to be picked up at our premises must be retrieved within 30 working days or they become the sole property of Quinte Broadcasting and its promotional partners. Prizes may be picked up between 8:30 and 4:30, Monday to Friday only (excluding public holidays), from the 4th floor of the Morton Building, 10 Front Street South, Belleville, Ontario. Prizes will not be sent to winners unless extraordinary circumstances prevail. Prizes that are being picked up elsewhere are subject to the conditions set by the party providing the prize. Individuals who are picking up a prize on behalf of the prizewinner must make arrangements beforehand by calling Quinte Broadcasting at 613-969-5555. Quinte Broadcasting reserves the right, in its absolute and sole discretion, to refuse third party prize collection for any reason whatsoever.
Once a prize is awarded it is the sole responsibility of the winner. In accepting the prize, the winner, and any guest(s), acknowledge that Quinte Broadcasting or its promotional partners may not be held liable for any loss, damages or injury associated with accepting or using this prize, and that Quinte Broadcasting and its promotional partners are not responsible for any travel related problems or costs that may occur when using or enjoying the prize.
In the case of a sporting event, concert or performance of any kind, live or recorded, Quinte Broadcasting or its promotional partners may not be held liable in any way for act changes, player or performer substitutions, cancellations postponements or delays of sporting events, performances or concerts.
In the case of a trip, Quinte Broadcasting and its promotional partners may not be held liable for any travel delays or cancellations that arise during any part of the trip, and may not be held liable for any travel or prize disruptions due to lack of proper travel documentation. It is the responsibility of all winners to have a valid Canadian passport to travel to foreign countries.
The contest winner is responsible for any or all additional costs related to the prize, all items of a personal nature, all external excursions and travel insurance, and all such additional costs related to the prize that may be incurred. The winner is also responsible for transfers to and from airports or railway stations and within the destination awarded.
By claiming the prize, the winner authorizes the use, without additional compensation of his or her name and/or likeness and/or voice/photograph and municipality of residence for promotion and/or advertising purposes in any manner and in any medium (including without limitation, radio broadcasts, newspapers and other publications and in television or film releases, slides, videotape, distribution over the internet and picture data storage) which Quinte Broadcasting or its promotional partners may deem appropriate.
The winner agrees that the prize must be accepted as outlined specifically by Quinte Broadcasting and its promotional partners, and that Quinte Broadcasting and its promotional partners retain the rights, in their absolute and sole discretion, to make substitutions of equivalent kind or approximate value in the event of the unavailability of any prize or component of the prize for any reason whatsoever.
